Hot beer with honey! :D

You just replace the usual milk with beer. It really helps if you are ill.
Because you'll sleep like a baby and start to sweat immediately...

ms.peachy - that sounds really good. I will def. have to try that one, thanks for the recipe! We're going to be making mulled cider soon but mulled wine sounds even better.

and Funky Pepp - hot beer is a new one to me... I'll keep that one in mind...!

another one we like is eggnog in coffee (y) (just the non-alc. kind you get in the dairy section of the market)

my dad doesn't use recipies...

but its mostly apple juice/cider, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and then a mix of some alcohols. i think rum is often used, but i rememebr my dad used saki, and osme other unusual liquors form various locations.

he just mixed it all together and warmed it in the crock pot, served with a ladel.

Okay, so wassail is mulled cider I guess.. that's about what we're doing, it's our first time making it. A friend of ours has been making hard cider, he bought cider at the farmer's market and let it ferment. He just bottled it and we sampled, it's very dry because he didn't pasteurize it. It's his first time making the hard cider and it's definitely drinkable. When we mull it we can put some of the sweetness back in I guess.

That's so cool your dad has perfected a unique recipe... thanks for sharing as much as you did. :) I will look into some of the ingreds you mentioned.

Steaming hot yack piss.
Puts hair on your chest.

Heres a recipe for eggnog, which is also delicious.
6 eggs
1/4 cup (60 ml)of sugar
960 ml of milk (maybe only 850, then 100 of cream)
1 teaspoon of vanilla (or 1 table spoon)
Step 1
in 2 (480 ml)quart mesuring bowl, beat eggs together, and sugar untill thoroughly blended. Set aside. in a bowl cook a quarter of the milk on full power untill bubbles form at the edge. the milk really stinks, i hate warm milk smell.sick.about 6 or so minutes. stir eggs into mixture. put it in the microwave for about 6 minutes on half power. mixture should be pretty think. should be able to coat a spoon. stir in the rest of the milk and the vanilla.

Step 2
cover it and fridge it. 7 hours should do good, pretty much over night. just before serving it pour it into a bowl to make it look nice. Put LOTS nutmeg on top, a little bit of a swirly design fo vanilla, and then drink up.

If you wanna make this a party drink, put some captain morgans spiced rum in BEFORE you cool that baby. ooooooh yeah
