The the final product we know as Top Gun was actually cut in half. It was a four hour movie about a gay man's battle to get to the best fighter pilot school in the world. There was a 35 minutes shower scene with Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise 'flying in the no-fly zone' if you catch my drift.
