You want an honest, sincere opinion? Yo, I'm not dissin' you, just telling you how I feel about it, not feeling the beats, just felt uneasy and too anxious to turn it off. Who are you influenced by, I'm only asking. Are you influenced by what comes out in the United States? Just because its on the radio , doesn't necessarily mean its actually even remotely good. There are a lot of mc or whatever it is its called now just because they blow up to me its still shit and I ain't giving up my louie. It's pretty much why I stopped listening to so called 'hip hop' music. It's monotonous, I mean, those beats and the rhyming together can lull a person to sleep. Slow, tired beats seem to have been the shit for a looong time now. I suspect the G-funk type of music (which, for me, was/is I had a "What the fuck?" reaction to it) started it off. I'm not one to give advice, maybe it's a matter of a later generation and your take on the music, but I can't help but hear the similarities of sounds coming from here in the States and yours. If I WERE to give an advice, I would say to not be on that tip. Know your roots and that may be a guide.

b.styles, i dont know anyone who wouldn't feel the influence of US rap styles, it was the birthplace afterall (its like saying Western-based rock guitarists can't use solo's or chord progressions that sound eastern).

I am a scottish rapper my roots are heavily steeped in the culture of Glasgow, there are some people in the scene over here that still rap using fake yankee accents. If your talkin bout ma flow, then thats something that changes with tempo and how i approach the beat, mood etc.

for the purposes of the battle, the beat i used was irrelevant, the speed and mood of it was my prime choice. and the backing vocal is me too, it was a written battle.

That's not bad man, I've never actually heard Scottish rap before but I love the GLC and their strong Welsh accents, so it's nice to see shit like this that shows people with any kind of voice can be good at MCing.
