Obligated to defend my name, I am going to share my muffin-handling technique.

Everyone likes to eat the head of the muffin first. But then taking the wrapper off makes the base crumble, and you end up with a crumbly muffin. After a great deal of thinking about the problem, I have come up with a simple technique for eating muffins.

Turn the muffin over first and begin removing the wrapper. Once the wrapper is removed, dispose of it. And then eat the muffin.

yes i find it important to first warm up the muffin and then smoothly cut it with a pointy tipped knife. Its important to warm up the muffin because then its easier to insert the knife. The key to a succesful knife insertion is a little bit of force, not so much as to tear the muffin, just enough to open it up. Then i hack away at it like a jack rabbit until the warm gooey middle parts its ways and opens up to the sunshine of my love that is butter, or in this case I can't believe its not butter. I find it hard to keep from just slapping my butter everywhere as soon as the muffin's middles become exposed..but I've found the slower i am with the butter, the more it melts and the softer and wetter the muffin becomes. This makes it easy for subsequent buttering, or if nessecary another stab or two of the knife. After I've emptied all my butter
on the muffin then i sort of sit back and relax a bit, look out the window, put on a Peter Gabriel CD. Then I go back to the muffin after the butter is all dried up. Eating a hot wet muffin after stabbing it with my knife and spilling my butter all over it is not something I'm fond of. I learned at an early age that all that does is get you burnt.

Are we talking english muffins here, or the chocolate/blueberry cake type? I'm getting a little confused here, because most of the cakey muffins we have here have icing on top and dont require butter. Whereas the english muffins are more like burger buns, and do require butter. I could have added some serious innuendos in this post but I chose to keep it g rated unlike all you sick barstards.
