Four Sticks
Oh, Baby, it's cryin' time, Oh, Baby, I got to fly.
Got to try to find a way, Got to try to get away,
'Cause you know I gotta get away from you, Babe.
Oh, Baby, the river's red, Oh, Baby, in my head.
There's a funny feelin' goin' on, I don't think I can hold out long.
*And when the owls cry in the night, Oh, Baby, Baby, when the pines begin to cry,
Baby, Baby, Baby, how do you feel? If the river runs dry, Baby,
How do you feel?
Craze, Baby, the rainbow's end, Baby, it's just a den
For those who hide, Who hide their love to depths of life
And ruin dreams that we all knew so, Babe.

Easily "going to california."
Back when weed used to make me freaking crazy, I listened to that in my friends car and felt like I was on a spaceship in a dream.
Distant second is "tangerine."

Thank You is awesome. I listen to that a bit, actually.
I think it's funny how nobody suggests 'Stairway to Heaven'. It's got such a shit reputation as this over-hyped rock classic. And it sort of is, but really it's just another Led Zeppelin song. It's the first song I heard of theirs as a kid, but it's probably the last one I'd listen to now.

Live at the BBC (The BBC Sessions) was the first live performance they ever busted out Stairway...they were about to release the fourth album and they started playing it. the crowd was silenced within seconds of the intro...
also "How The west Was Won" is a kickass live CD, and the Led Zeppelin DVD is a must buy- lots of great unreleased footage there...

well there is also "The Complete Studio Recordings"- all 9 studio albums including the posthumous "CODA"- but on this "CODA" they throw on the four unreleased tracks- Hey Hey What Can I do, Travelling Riverside Blues, Baby Come on Home, and White Summer/Black Mountain Side

Bonzos Montreux is one of my favorites off CODA(its just bonham doing his thing on a smorgasborg of percussion instruments), also "Poor Tom" and "Darlene"- most of the songs are obscure tracks that never made an album, but Jimmy Page thought needed to get out there... there is an "I cant Quit You Babe" sound check on there as well..

I like the much maligned In Through the Out Door and my favorite Led Zep song is Fool in the Rain. I also like I'm Gonna Crawl (that scream at the end rules) and I dig the synth solo in All of My Love.
Over the Hills and Far away got me into them.
No quarter is also one I play over and over. God, there are so many.
Stairway was the first song I learned to play on the guitar.
Heartbreaker pretty much rules.

I don't knock him when he's arranging brilliant opuses like No Quarter.

He really had a great knowledge of harmony. The string arrangement on Kashmir is incredibly creative. Who would have thought to put that scale over that chord progression? Really cool.

John Barry (http://www.hyperlaunch.com/bond/jukebox.html) was doing it to great effect in the 60's.
Isn't Kashmir a little long in the tooth? When Page and Plant came to the Tacoma Dome a few years back and had that entourage of middle eastern musicians, the string section and all the rest, I just kept thinking about an exit strategy. And I had 19th row seats. I've seen the films of them live in the day....it wasn't at all like that Tacoma show. If anything they ruined that song for me by trying to catch every studio nuance live. The whole show seemed like, "And this is what we used to do" but now we can't quite find the chemistry 30 years later....so this what we have for $100+ a seat.
I did not buy the T Shirt.
Geeking is cool.

Whole Lotta Love is a favourite too.
