It was on TV last night, and that ending had to be the stupidest thing I could ever imagine being committed to paper.

For real, I know it's old news, but he fucked that up bad. Didn't they have to issue a card with the DVD that said "Maybe someone got to Earth before Leo did."?

Did no justice to the films, and to a lesser extent the show, and to a lesser extent the cartoon, and to a lesser extent the books.

Fuck, the most promising parts alluded to ape-on-ape or ape-on-human copulation.

gah

Helena Bonham Carter looks strikingly like Michael Jackson in that flick...

but Burton really fucked this one up is right...

he made up for it with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Hey, let's all bitch about issues from four years ago! That really helps us to advance as a race of superiorly intelligent terrestrial life.

Nah, it was on T.V last night. It's in the first post.

Although the humans were on the planet initially, it would have been nice if they'd alluded to how the human society became, and became subservient.
It wasn't enough to assume some astronauts fucked their kids.

Ebonics!

Ebonics (sometimes also called Black English, African-American Vernacular English, AAVE, or Black English Vernacular, BEV) is a readily distinguishable dialect of American English. Similar to common Southern American English, the dialect is spoken in many African-American communities in the United States, especially in urban areas. It has its origins in the culture of enslaved Americans and also has roots in England, mixed with elements of West African languages.

this is not relevant to canada! :D
anyway how the hell you know that if you're not from canada?

Why Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Sucked by: Loppfessor

The movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sucked total ass for many reasons the first I’ll discuss is Jonny Depp’s portrayal of factory owner Willy Wonka. I could pretty much sum up this character in one word, creepy. I’ve never met Michael Jackson in person but I would venture that the Wonka character from this movie is an accurate depiction of what he would be like. The “daddy” flashbacks certainly didn’t help matters much either. I’m an adult and Wonka gave me the creeps in scene after scene. I wouldn’t let my child hang around him for all the chocolate in the world.

I love Tim Burton...

I love Danny Elfman...

I love Johnny Depp, and his chemistry with the kid, Freddie Highmore is magical...

what if Depp was TRYING to creep you out, Lopp?

what if he was using MJ as a muse, as he used Keith Richards as a template for Jack Sparrow in Pirates...

its called acting, it requires talent...

I love those three as well, usually anything they put out (especially together) is amazing. That’s why this movie was such a huge let down! I do see where your going with this post but still disagree. Whatever direction they were trying to go with the story/acting just didn’t materialize right. At least in my opinion.

I loved it, i thought that Willy Wonker was supposed to be a distubed man who'd never grown up - a bit like micheal jackson. I wouldn't be supprised if thats who he based the performance on but it'd be too Un-PC to say - and MJ could sue too. Anyway.... I thought it was perfect for the movie.

Corpse Bride ruled so many times more though.

oh man I hate being a miserable freddy...I wonder when that's coming to Lux. That's the only good theater that close to me.
