Get this...a girl at work is getting married this Saturday (Dec 10th). She
came into work today with her head all bandaged.
Everyone inquired immediately "What happened ? Are you ok ?"

Her reply "Sure, I'm ok. I just had an "ear job" done over the weekend."

She had cosmetic surgery 7 days before her wedding to correct her
dumbo ears (as she calls them !) Ha ha. I asked her "when do your bandages
come off ?"

She said "Thursday..but it will be ok by then...here, wanna see ?"

I said "Ok - sure!"

She lifted her bandages on one side ... :eek: It looked horrible ! Raw, stitches,
major swelling, purple/red/blue/yellow bruising all over her ear.
I said "Oh, yeah...that doesn't look bad at all."

Can't wait to see those wedding pictures...ha ha ha!

My cousin had something similar done. She had her ears pinned back or something. She was only 16 or 17 I think. The thing is its easy to say, get over it, everyone is beautiful, blah blah blah but some people just have things about themselves they hate and they can't get over. I don't think she should have gotten it that young but who am I to judge? Its her money (or her parents').

No - not at all. I guess that some people are just so insecure with just little flaws (mostly in their heads) and can't accept the fact that they're not perfect. They will NEVER be satisfied with themselves..which is both sad :( and entertaining :) at the same time !
