Hey, that's really sweet of you. Mr.peachy will really enjoy that.

No idea about a name yet. We'd decided not to think about it until after today, when we'd know. (At least, mostly know. They say they can't give you a 100% guarantee, but there were two people doing the scan -a grad student and the qualified guy, and they were both pretty certain. And neither mr.p or I saw any suspiciously penis-shaped bits anywhere, so.)

Apparently, we're going to have a very loooooong baby. The femur measurement is right off the charts.

didn't you once mention mr. peachy was very tall? i envy the vertically blessed. but then again, i make them reach things and get spiders for me.

when's the due date again? sometime in spring?

Hate to say I told you so.

You scared me with your thread title, though. Not that I had a preference, but I just don't like being wrong.

Yes, we are both from families full of quite tall people, so it's not really a big surprise. The woman doing the scan seemed a bit stunned though. She called the senior guy in to make sure she was reading the measurement properly.

Due date is the 2nd of May. We'll see how that goes though. It's pretty much a guess.

The only potentially 'negative' thing we found out is that I have a 'low lying' placenta. It will probably move up as the pregnancy goes on and the womb expands, but I just have to have another scan at 34 weeks (mid March) and make sure it has moved out of the way and isn't blocking the exit door, so to speak. If it hasn't, it's not a tragedy, it just means that I'll have to have a C-section.

Yeah!

Is it true that you can't have enough baby blankets? Because I've never gotten to knit a pink one. ;)

Yorkshire Rose, if you don't find out the sex ahead of time, lavender can be very appealing.

Awesome. Save a dowry and let's talk in about 18 years.
