I'm very sorry about your friend and I hope he gets better soon but there are a few things I'd like to ask...

1) why tell everybody about his accident, making a subject of light conversation and jokes for people you don't even know, out of what for him is undoubtedly a terrible ordeal? I suppose one could say you were just informing us quietly of your absence, but that argument would be quashed by the fact you called the thread "ATTN:BBMB". Not only that but you're giving people "updates" on his condition and supplying every tiny detail of his undoubtedly hellish and traumatic near-death experience.

2) why do you need to be with him the whole while he is in hospital? I appreciate how it is with close friends and hospital, many of them I love like brothers/sisters and would want to be there for. But I don't think it would take up all my time and energy to the extent where I couldn't do the little things I do for entertainment (such as coming on BBMB) when I'm kicking back at home. Does he not have family or other friends to look after him if you're not there?

3) OK, this isn't a question, but I'd like you to think about it. Imagine if you spent all the time you spend in front of the computer on this message board, msn, myspace, etc. hanging out with beautiful, interesting, and witty young ladies, and intelligent, respectful men. Do you think your happiness quota would go up or down? Don't you think you would be more popular, and, most importantly, don't you think more people would love you? Imagine if those 9 thousand and whatever posts of yours were 9 thousand and something hugs from friends.

I'm just thinking about you man. I really don't understand why you made this thread, and maybe you're unable to explain it to me, but I think you need to take the internet less seriously, and think about your real life more.
