There was a show in Liverpool in 1987 when the Beastie Boys played to a very volatile crowd. Things were thrown on stage, and Adrock seemingly produced some bat or other. If memory serves right, a female member of the crowd was allegedly struck by an object. Possibly a beer can. It all got ugly, and Adrock was paid a visit by Merseyside Police. It was so long ago, maybe my recollection is frayed a little at the edges.
I bet Adrock shudders at the thought of Liverpool, even today.

yes, give me some time to locate it. I had it taped on the back of my old bedroom door and when i threw the door out, i made sure i took all the beastie stuff off. I have to find it now. its yellow now!

Interesting, they were friends right? I remember there was a rumor that he was buried in Adrocks back yard, i heard that a looooonnnnggg time ago, i was a small Jmoney at that time.

Perhaps what is the most interesting was that it mentions a working name for what later became the movie "Lost Angels"...It is a little blurry but looks like it says the movie was originally titled "Lunatack." Is that correct? yes, thats correct. (it is actually spelled "LUNATICS" in the article) they changed it because they were afraid it might have offended some one.

but this photo was used twice in Newsday. the first was a year earlier with his arrest and they used the same photo for the "lost angels" movie, as seen in in this article. Sorry the picture is so old, it was hanging on my door for almost 20 years before I pulled it off.

My old bedroom has wall to wall beastie boys on it. it would have made the average fan jealous.
