Paul Jones recently posted here about a Superman Box Set and mentioned the Richard Pryor appearance on one. :( That's a damn shame about him dying.

What sucks the most is that my view of him was him in the 70's young, funny, and on drugs. Saw him in a wheelchair prob only months before he now, hate to have that new image of him now.

Thats just what the critics thought. I and everyone else I know who has seen it reckon its one of the best. Especially the scene where Superman and Clarke are fighting in the car wreck yard. Sends shivers down my spine every time (y)

What website ? WTF ?

And there not my superman critiques its what "they" thought of it.

I was just saying did you just go along with the critiques or did you actually think it was the worst. Because there are not many people I know that think its the worst, ah whatever. Dont be so touchy CJ. Chill out ;)

Man, this a weak thread considering the greatest comedian of all time just passed! Richard Pryor along with Lenny Bruce and George Carlin are the most influential comedians of all time. they took comedy to another level. Pryor was handed the torch by greats like Redd Foxx and Bill Cosby and pushed the envelope to unheard of boundaries. His movies with Gene Wilder will always be my favorites. Real heads who know about comedy get chills when they think about that first time they heard one of Pryor's records. If it wasn't for Pryor, comedians like Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams, etc... would not have become what they are. Heaven now has it's comedy headliner. Richard, make God bust a gut! RIP Richard Pryor!!!

By the way, Superman 3 was not as good as one or two, but that scene when Clark is fighting Superman is awesome!!!
The comment about "at least it wasn't George Carlin that died" is just stupid. Why would anyone say that? And then say, "he's probably next". Insensitive moron!

word.

he showed us how to laugh at the stupidest things in life, especially racism, that effects so many in such a negative way... he showed us how ignorant we sound on a regular basis and turned it into a masterpiece...

He's local, you know, born in Peoria, Illinois to a prostitute. There's a street named after him, Richard Pryor Place.
