Saw it over the weekend, utterly amazing. I'd like to hear your thoughts, I have some of my own questions / observations. (y)

Seymour Hoffman was great. Keener (Keenar?) was mighty good.
The guy who played Dick (or was it Perry?) was good, too -- wish he had more screen time. He was so great as the gay assassin in Traffic.
I thought that the way they showed the big reveal of the murders was outstanding. It was actually the first time that it clicked for me and it "made sense" in its own screwy way.

I felt like the title of the book, In Cold Blood...also reffered to Truman as well. I mean in the end..he was like crying and saying I really did everything I could, when he really didnt. He lied to Perry about a ton of things...and then once he got the info he needed, he stopped seeing him. At the end, I just wasnt sure what the director wanted me to feel.
I loved the underlining sense of humor throughout the movie very well done.

....Harper Lee really laid some truth on him at the end, there.

I finally saw this today. I thought it was flat out wonderful. I love well made period pieces and I thought every touch in this was great. Of course, PSH is perfect -- I especially like the way he could go back and forth from the Capote at cocktail parties in NYC to the Capote that's manipulating Perry. I'm old enough to remember the real Capote one daytime talk shows and you could see PSH starting to become that guy. Oh, and it was a solid cast all around.
I've been very upset at films for a long time. Every time I go to something that gets good reviews I hate it and it makes me angry and then I don't go to more films. I think in last year I saw the penguin movie and maybe a couple of others. I used to be the biggest film freak. I used to see every indie movie. Today was the first time I felt like the old me. No one cares, but I wanted to say it out loud (kind of).

i've been meaning to go see this for weeks now, but the theater playing it usually only has 1 screening a day, and its not always that movie.
hopefully it will stick out another week and maybe i'll get to it. otherwise i'll have to wait on it even longer

I've been waiting for this movie for ages!
The Entertainment Guide are now having a pre-screening next Monday, you could collect the free tickets today, but of course, now that I don't work in the city anymore I didn't get there in time to get a pair... :(
So I guess I have to wait two weeks when it's on general release.
