Yup, my lovely Lexus is going on Wednesday and I'm getting a VW Golf instead. Paying £55 for a tank of petrol has become too much, so I'm getting a diesel which will do twice the miles for the same amount of money.

Sad to see it go, but equally excited about my new purchase.

I'm guessing you've had your avatar for 10 weeks and 5 days.

Not that I've been counting....
Thomas, I may need your assistance with a VW avatar in the near future :D

Fuck, man. If you had enough dough to buy a Lexus, you should have bought an R32. Golf's are nice, too, though. I'm just gonna hope it's a VR6 turbo.

Nah, I got a really good deal on the Lex, so I'm not exactly loaded. The new car is a Golf GT Tdi, 130bhp with a six speed box. Already got a new chip on order so from next week it's gonna be 150bhp with about 325 lb/ft of torque (which is about the same as a 911).

I drove an R32 a while back, goes like hell but the ride is spine jarringly hard, and the fuel economy would be no better than what I already have.

word. I drove an R32 a while back as well, but I found it to be rather smooth. Oh well, different strokes.

You obviously have much smoother roads there. I could really do with a Land Rover for the shite I have to drive on.
