I'm a swatch girl. Cheap and cheerful, with good design and a lot of options.
I don't wear a watch. Haven't done that since 1991.

Very nice, but you must have a pretty stinky wrist.

i keep it clean by putting my entire wrist in lye. and wearing the watch a little loose so that i can get shampoo in there when im washing my chest hair.

I've only got a Seiko left, but I've had a Fossil and a Guess. I think the Guess was my favorite. It was the nicest looking, but Guess ultimatley makes some pretty disposable watches. I'm working my way up to a Cartier Roadster ever so slowly.
I have a Nixon watch i got for my birthday.

Gnomex.
I used to wear a swatch watch when I was 13. That stopped and turned into me wearing a stop watch around my neck when I was 14. That lasted about 6 months. After that I stopped wearing watches for the past 15 years.
Until last Thursday when I got one of those Star Wars watches from Burger King. That lasted about an hour.
Now I'm watch free (although my mobile has a clock on it when I need to check the time).

I used to wear a spongebob watch from burger king, but about 4 months ago it started giving me a tiny rash below my thumb. I tried to wash it and wash my wrist and I took it off and let it heal, then tried to wear it again, but then got a rash again. probably fungus or something. stupid plankton.
so, no watches for me.

I used to try wearing a watch to work, but it would get eaten and stained by random chemicals in the lab so I havent worn one for a year or so now

Isn't that better than getting your wrist stained and eaten though?

stainless steel band and sapphire crystal would probably be fine
do you have to watch a clock or something to time chemical mixtures or soemthjing?

funny related story -- i work in fine jewelry retail management and we sell seiko kinetics. when i get customers who are interested in a kinetic but have never had one before, and i am telling them about the watch i always explain that if they lead a seditary sort of life that they will need to take out time to wind their watch or it will stop till it gets wound up again *while making movements with my hand and wrist that i never thought to be obscene until i was talking to 2 youngish indian guys who nearly died laughing*
