Have you ever heard someone refer to something as the working class version of something else? It means it's the cheaper version, the one the working class can afford.

Well, some actors are very big name and expensive in a movie. They demand high pay, they are glamorous and really embody the movie star lifestyle. But when a movie can't get the big name actor, they might be able to afford a cheaper version, the working man's version. It's an insult to the actors to say they're a cheap version of someone else, but they won't read this thread.

I don't literally mean that these people are working class, I mean they are less glamorous than bigger stars, they get less awards and less reverence, but often play similar roles as another more famous and shiny movie star, but maybe in shittier movies. Maybe they are younger and newer and haven't proven themselves yet. (Could work for directors too?)

I realize this thread is a lot like mickill's actors who should be where other actors etc. and it made me think of this, because the working class actors aren't necessarily better or even just as good as their glamorous counterparts.
