Valvano, you are one dumb fuck. This proves nothing. The article clearly shows there are less white people in New Orleans. The rate that they died at doesn't have any bearing on the preposition that the response was lame because the population is predominantly black.

Firstly, if there were only two white people in all of New Orleans and they both died in the storm, that would be a 100% death rate for whites, well over the black death rate. Are you saying that would prove that Bush DIDN'T disregard New Orleans because of race?

Secondly, the death rate has no bearing on the clean-up operation. Those people died from the storm which, unlike your president, is colourblind. If all the white people crowded into a billion dollar storm shelter that got flooded out by a nearby burst levy, there'd be a much higher white vs black death rate. If anything that would EMPHASISE the social disparity.

If the storm hit rich areas harder than poor areas, then yes white people would have a disproportionately high mortality rate. That doesn't change the fact that more black people died.

Thirdly, you could argue that those white people died precisely BECAUSE they were living in a city that had been neglected because of Bush's racism. The black people expected second hand treatment from your racist and incompetent government, so felt no qualms about leaving behind their shanties and heading for firmer ground. The white people had a naive belief that your government was doing its job (because they were brainwashed white trash morons like yourself) and thus stayed in a more dangerous situation.

How would THAT defend your case?

I love how the article pointed out that men and women were equally likely to die. It would have never occurred to me to check that out. :)

I'd like to know what percentage of the dead white people were elderly. How many did they lose in that one nursing home where the owners didn't evacuate patients?
