OR you know what I see a lot that drives me insane? Girls who wear open toe shoes / heals in the winter...it's like Biotch, I know you're cold. What you couldn't find a pair that went better?? It never fails, once or twice I see one of these girls out on the weekend.

yeah, but Vogue says that open toes are in! :(

I wore open toes in the snow once a couple of years ago and it was horrifyingly cold and uncomfortable. never again.

nah, wasn't serious about the socks thingy. I hate the cold, I prefer to be bundled up, but have been accused of not bundling up enough before.

well the black/urban culture really embraced winter clothing styles for some reason, been that way for over a decade....triple fat goose, Starter jackets, on and on....
they can't wait to wear them....

it's not a "black thing" per say...
it has nothing to do genetically with race.

that's why i said Urban....

i see white and latino urban dudes doin it too.

i think it stems from a connection between the high cost of those jackets and the status it brings.
pretty simple, really.

You don't want a lot of exposed skin in tightly spaced urban areas and public transportation. Enjoy winter and indulge in it. They summer elsewhere anyway, where they keep their resortwear.

There's this flock of rather large women in my university who think it's cool to wear sandals when there's 3 inches of snow on the ground. These are the same ones who wear extra small t-shirts that say 'sexsi' or 'cum dumpster' on them.


Oh, and the pricks who call me trying to sell something. No, I don't want to do a short survey either.

...the people who wear shorts and sandles in the winter.Before the blood thinners, I was always warm. I'd wear shorts in the winter -- of course, winter days are usually 60+ here.

In high school, I wore topsiders w/o socks everyday. I was/am "urban".

Us urbanites wear heavy coats most of the year to make it easier to hide weapons and the fruits of our pick-pocket expeditions. Or to scare you suburban, rural, country rednecks.
