For those of you who work at big companies where they have gift rules, its that time of the year for the bizzare gift basket "treats" to show up in the kitchen and be share amongest the coworkers so you don't break the $100 a year in gifts rule.

Right now, we have a large tin of carmel corn, a odd assortment of pastries, a couple of sauces including onion blossom horseradish sauce, chocolate covered fruit (mushy and the water bled through the chocolate), and some weird crackers.

Its this time of year that remind me why I don't buy premade gift baskets for people because most baskets suck.

Yeah my boss usually gets me some sort of basket o crap around this time of the year.

It's usually filled with a bunch of crap I would never eat or drink.

Last year I got a basket of assorted coffee.

In the 5 years that I've worked here, I haven't drank a cup of coffee.

And it's just me, her, and two other guys in our department, so it's not like she didn't notice that I don't drink coffee.

I used to buy that stuff for my clients. It's a fine balance between taste and cost.
