Wow! The similarities between Bush and Nixon are simply parallel!! And yet, Bush's approval ratings are up...So, they can convict Nixon, but this guy is free to do what ever he wants??

Not that I'm optimistic, but remember that it wasn't until quite a while after the Watergate scandal broke that Nixon went down.

Who wants to place bets on how long it'll take the world's imaginationless reporters to start calling this "Eavesdroppinggate"?

Ha ha! I was thinking about starting a similar thread.

I wasn't tuned into politics when Nixon went down, but the speeches and the press conference today, as well as the pleas to support the troops even though we're in the wrong war for the wrong reasons, it all made me think of Nixon.

I've never thought Iraq was like Vietnam and I think it's a lazy comparison, but I swear that this morning during the press conference I thought, "W's going to invade Cambodia next." :D
