The set fire to it every year. Sometimes more than once.

Yeah, it started as a drunken dare, and now it has become a tradition there and people trying to be the first to lit the goat. This year it was the first time tho that they were dressed up as Santas.
Of course they make the goat again and again, and now you can check it out every 30 seconds (http://epi.gavle.se/gk/t_sida.asp?id=6782).

yeah, i was all excited thinking it was some random santa shooting burning arrows at some monument. oh well, i was set straight.

i heard some thing on the news about people dressed as santa trashing stuff as a protest against the materialisation of christmas. seems a strange way to protest.
