i tried something new with a brownie recipe and it completely ruined them. they didn't bake all the way through and they stuck to the pan and they just plain suck. now i'm left with a gooey minty-chocolatey mess that i have to scrape out and throw away.

I enjoy attempting to bake things. I'm not very good at it, but I should probably know how to make things since I'll probably be living on my own sooner than later.

it was a boxed mix. nothing special. what i tried to do was adding a chocolate mint swirl but i added too much vegan butter to the chocolate chips and and mint oil and it ended up making the mix too oily and it didn't bake all the way. that and i didn't grease the pan enough.

What did you use to grease the pan?

vegetable shortening, the usual. but i put it on pretty light. i should have dusted it with a little flour or powdered sugar.
