Fox Heading 'Back to the Future'?
Michael J. Fox is heading Back To The Future for a fourth time-traveling movie. The actor, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, admits he's in negotiations for a final film in the series - but only if they make his character as old as he is in real life. The former Spin City star wants to take over Christopher Lloyd's eccentric scientist character, Doc, in the sequel. He tells movie website Moviehole.net, "The only way it would work would be if I played Doc. I'm 44-years-old now and I'm not interested in running around on skateboards! I think after 1, 2 and 3 we all kind of felt we had done it. And I think if they did it again now they would do it with a younger cast and just do a different realisation of it, which would be fun."

..I'm not sure what to make of this.

I don't think him playing Doc would be a good idea. That would just be...weird. An older version of Marty, sure.

And there goes my ignore option.

Anyway, yeah. Are they gonna start bringing back other favorites to do sequels to now? I kinda talked about this in an old thread but more like I know they will remake certain movies in another decade or so. They should totally make a sequel to Goonies.

the sequel to the goonies would be great, cuz seeing them all older and going on an adventure would be a laugh, id wholeheartedly support that.

I just love Back To The Future series. But a sequel would certainly suck.

Marty McFly as Doc???? jeez.... fucking stupid

And quoting DandyFop, "I don't think him playing Doc would be a good idea. That would just be...weird. An older version of Marty, sure" (y)

Him and doc should work together to guide Jules and Verne through difficult times.

Even if they do make a new one and it sucks beyond belief... it still won't make the old ones bad.

douchebag post of the week nominee!

seriously though, i agree barb. i think an older version of marty would be best for him. because i seriously can't imagine anyone else playing his part. that would just ruin the magic for me.

i had such a crush on michael j. fox when i was a little kid. i used to watch Family Ties and sigh. :o

There was a sequel to the Goonies...it was on NES and it had mermaids and shit. And you hit people with a Yo-Yo if I remember correctly.

I always wondered what happened to the Marty that just left.

I think the movie just replays itself.

Back to the Future were deadly movies. i'm sure they could make them work if they brought in a good director and stuff to keep things in check.

I want to hump george mcfly. and sometimes biff. I don't think I had the hots for marty very much. I always liked him, but I wasn't attracted to him.

AND NO WAY! I WILL NOT ACCEPT FOX IN PLACE OF LLOYD! that's just stupid. Doc is tall and has crazy hair. I do not want to see an awful hairpiece. it will ruin everything!

I think they should leave it be.

I don't think anyone involved with the older movies would do it to cash it. So if this does happen to get off of the ground, somehow, it might actually be worth watching. Even if it isn't I'll still probably watch it.

Except if Marty has tall and crazy hair.

Tzar

what they could do!! is a prequal... and J. Fox could play a YOUNGER Doc and it could be about how is building the delorean, using to go to different places and times etc etc... this could be all set before he actually meets marty.

i dunno...
