It was a present (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=1090323&postcount=47) for Dad, but I bought it for me really.

As you do.

I remember parts of that album being played on the radio, espeically the song called (I think) "Forever Autumn" which I like a lot. I haven't heard the entire album though.

BTW: If you want to hear the surround version of it*, you'll need an sacd-capable player, like this $130 Pioneer (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_15020669_236572701,00.html) or this $140 Sony (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7118068&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03013&id=1109233696293), and a receiver with a 5.1 input (this last feature is extremely common now). Both also play CDs and regular dvds. The Pioneer also plays dvd-audio discs, though these discs also include Dolby and/or DTS 5.1 tracks so you can play them on any type of dvd player.

* that disc is actually what's called a "hybrid sacd (http://www.sonymusic.com/sacd/)", which includes a high resolution section containing a stereo and a surround mix; and a CD layer for (duh) CD players to play. FYI: sacds don't always contain a surround mix though. These multiple layers are what gives the disc its gold-ish shine (an optical effect only-sorry, no real gold in there!).

now back to the original subject............
