....this is one of my favorite times of the year. Seriously. For about a week -- or right after the first post-holiday sale and right up until New Year's Eve -- it's almost like the world is on 'ludes or something. People are so exhausted from post-seasonal whatever that they give the illusion of actually having achieved Peace on Earth.
...I just took down the office Christmas tree. Whoo hoo! That little wooden snowman is getting packed away, and the cheap holiday wreath....
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

...it ends with Christmas Day though, doesn't it? Or at least Boxing Day?
I mean... it's over now, Baby Blue.

They are tight and white. I bought some hightops to go with them.

There's nothin gbetter than the work commute during the week between Christmas and New Years.
It's like everyone but me is on vacation.

That's what this office has been like. And today is the first day of the assistant's vacation, so now we're down to three.
It's like an Agatha Christie play around here.

Here too. People pop in for an afternoon or a meeting and then leave. NO traffic on I-5 this morning. Abundant parking. I might as well be on vacation this week.

Isn't it cool?
Maybe more offices should have this. A vacation from your workmates. You still log your eight days, get stuff done, but no one's around to bother you or bring a stinky sack of Carl's down the hall.

There's so much less pressure. I don't feel like someone is judging me if I'm a little late coming back from lunch (I use the word "little" loosely). I can roll into work and finish getting ready in the bathroom.
Here's to casual days.

That actually sounds good, raising a glass that is. Maybe I will drink a beer at lunch.
I've never done that before.
