I'll be so glad when this piece of shit year will have past.
It started off so well with another trip to Amsterdam...then it all quickly went to shit....
90% of my friends at last years new years party have all had fucked up, life changing years this year. Maybe somebody cursed the keg or something...
Was 2005 a worse-than-usual year for anyone else?

My 2005 wasn't too bad, but not spectacular either. I think next year will be better. Graduation, getting a job, moving out on my own, more freedom. (y)

i don't think 2005 was particularly good or bad for me....
i hope 2006 is better though. i hope to have a good term at work, go on a big road trip to oklahoma, spend the summer working in sweden (or any place abroad really), finish the summer at the beach with the family, and then heading into my last year of school...
so 067 had lots of potential. i hope it all falls into place

I got really depressed when I was making my Christmas cards because I hadn't deleted any of the people who passed away this year from my address book.

Oh shit...you pretty much have the same plans/goals as me! Creepy.
I'm kicking off 2006 with a roadtrip from eastern PA to Oklahoma. Then I'll spend the summer/rest of year working and taking a few photography classes in London....then somehow finish my degree (I'm only a semester short).
Where and why are you visiting Oklahoma? if you don't mind me asking

2005 started with me getting fired from my job
It can only go uphill after that~though they did give me a sweet "Just Leave and Don't Make a Scene Bonus", which has a charm all in itself. But that was a blessing in disguise bc I went back to my roots at a much more lucrative position. (y)
2005 was certainly rememberable and for that I hate it~I kid I kid. I saw ppl I hadn't seen in 5+ yrs. Most of them still good but some had gathered rust. The worst part was getting an email from my old neighbor back in Atl that my friend had died in a car accident...And if there's a God in Heaven I'm sure he's there. That was pretty shitty bc he was an all round good guy that passed way too young ~27. Other than that milestone it was an all round good year.

2005 started with me breaking off my engagement (January3rd). That was bad at the time and has been alternately good and bad ever since. I left behind a lot of things that I thought were going to be with me my whole life and haven't as yet discovered new ones.
Welcome to the Meantime.
Here's to 2006 being a year of discovering what I am passionate about.
It started with my computer being dead for 8 weeks. During that time I started a 6-month job with lousy pay, got 6 stitches in my head and got a call from two girls who just had sex with each other.
My computer came back alive. I met some lovely boardmembers + Shannon on my trip to different parts of USA. My free-drinks party once again ended up with nakedness. The 6-month job ended and I was free again. Sent out Christmas cards for the first time ever in my life. Getting a new bed (not sure if it'll happen this year though)

Like most periods of time, this past year was marked by good and bad times. The bad included almost dying -- hope to not repeat that for a few decades. The good included repairing my relationship with my mom -- they are inter-related, no less -- and finding out baby number 2 is on the way.
My son is 3 and reminds me daily of what's important in life. Mrs. marsdaddy and I are looking forward to baby number 2 in March 2006. So, it's sure to be an exciting year -- with the only expected blemish being little sleep, for a couple of months.
I also started a kickass job, where my skills matter and the challanges motivate me.
For this coming year, I expect to continue learning, trying to enjoy life to the fullest, and being as healthy as I can.
My boyfriend moved in with me in 2005. Still deciding on if I hate 2005 or not...

As far as technology goes, it's been a pretty interesting year. Nanotechnology is rearing it's teenie little head. Paleontologists accidentally stumbled upon the first soft tissue from a dinosaur a-la-Jurrasic Park and some disabled dude actually controlled a robotic hand with his mind. Crazy stuff.
Other than a few other stories worth mention, I guess 2005 did suck big ass (!)

I guess we can thank digustingly-rich oil tycoons for that. A fuel cell would change everything.

The further the year went on the more it sucked.
It started off with being unemployed and ends with being unemployed again.
I just hope next year will be better, I don't think it can go worse than this.
this year was alright.
i had work, and went to tafe, and i turned 18.
still didn't get sex though. sigh. BUT the year ain't over yet, mu'fuckah

Wow...Stillwater. I went to high school there.
Small world.
I'm not sure if we're going to go through Pittsburgh or not...I'll have to check the map but I'm down for drink (or 3) if we can make it!
