I met Mike D at the corner of Houston and Lafayette in New York. I didn't say much, just shook his hand. Had to shake the left hand because it was after a bicycle accident and his right was in a sling. Gave him his space after that.

i had just come out of a bad with my then gf and i saw him waiting to get into a show in uws nyc, on the sidewalk. he was with his gf kathleen hannah. i sorta just went up to him and said hello and chatted with his for a bit. i think i told him about how i started listening to them and how i wore out my first cassette copy of lti, but that i had every other album and saw them live a few times. im sure he hears that a lot. then i asked about when the next album would come out, this was before TT5B, it was 2003 actually, he was like 'i don't know' and kathleen hannah said "soon!"... there was more that that's the basic idea. we went to another bar for a while then when we went by again, he was having a cigarette outside, talking on his cell i think. it was cool because when i saw him the first time it was from about a block away and he was facing the opposite direction - i still recognised him.

lol....well, it was a phase my friends and I went through, like most of us have. we wanted to be like out favorite band so we each picked a member and we sorta immatated them. I was MCA (MCK) & my friends were MIKE D (RICHIE A.......capt lou albanos nephew) and THE KIND ADRCOCK (the king J-ROCK). I had the 5 oclock shadow (as much as a 15-16 could have) the hair and the flannel look.

we soon took up our own identities and formed a cheesy little group of our own called "THE GUINEA PIGS."

I've never noticed them here in NY but that doesn't mean I haven't seen them. Celebs walk around all the time. Those people who always freak out require me to fight the urge to chop them in one of those spots that causes unconsciousness. :rolleyes:
I guess if I do notice them, or one of them I'll just say thank you.. I always wished that they were my brothers while I grew up. I guess in a way they are.

Yea, that was definitely during the Rage Tour... My buddy bought tickets and wanted me to go but tickets were like nearly 60 bucks.... i was like 15 at the time.... i said no, regretting it for the entire summer until i remember finding out the show was cancelled b/c Mike D broke his arm in a bicycle accident... i was secretly happy :( cuz i didnt have to feel bad about not buying the ticket anymore.... saw em in philly in 2004 finally.... awesome show!!!!
