The last couple of serious crushes I've had (several years ago) have been on females, but I ain't longing for sex at all. What's funny (to me) is that a friend of mine has had this conversation with me a couple of times lately in real life and it freaks me out a little. I have a few gay and lesbian friends and I couldn't give a shit who is attracted to and she would certainly know that. This friend has been going through some other life changes and she knows that I know a lot of people, and she apparently has never known any out of the closet lesbians and so she half confided her interest to me in an incredibly awkward way.

At first I thought she was just coming out, which surprised the hell out of me, but I've been surprised before and I'm obviously going to be supportive. But this took an awkward turn when she hinted that maybe I would introduce her around. As if it's a rotary club and I know some members or something. Heck, I know a lot of social workers so if she was a teenager dealing with transexual issues, I could totally hook her up, but I don't know what to do with a 30 year old who's not sure who she's attracted to.

I'll support any kind of attraction involving adult human beings, but I still find it difficult to understand how you don't know who you're attracted to before you're say 30. I've met women who figured out they were lesbians after they got married and had 3 kids and that's just messed up.
