if you have those three c.d.'s you probably won't like pauls boutique, so i would go with check your head, to the five boroughs, and then end with a bang. Pauls boutique takes some getting used to to really appreciate i've found. I still don't like it as much as about 4 of their other c.d's

hmm guess i don't like hip hop that much then hey? i never said it was bad, just that with the c.d.'s he's bought, he's probably acquired a certain sound of the beasties, that is much different from the sound of pauls boutique, and that therefore, it will possibly take him/her a bit longer to really appreciated paul's boutique, just like it did me... i never said the cd was bad

Yea you might not get into Paul's Boutique right away, it's because that album has a lot of logical lyrics behind it. There's a lot of stuff you actually have to know about to really understand, but the music is kick ass. (y) The albums that I didn't get into the first time I heard it was Check Your Head and Ill Communication because the disorted microphones confused me. But now I realize how fucking great they are and thought I was retarded for not liking it. And I like the disorted microphones! Yeah, they're even life changing.

Definitely Paul's Boutique. I loved PB when I first heard it. Then after about 5 or 6 listens I was addicted. Car Theif is probably one of my favorite (if not 1st favorite) Beastie Boy songs ever.
