Hey guys, I've read around the board a little bit. I really like this place.
I'm just wondering what you guys think the possibility of the Beasties and Rick Rubin working together again in the future would be. Are there still hard feelings with Rubin, even to a degree or has this possibility even been discussed?

Also the second thing I wanted to know is how many of you have some of the harder to find older Beastie tracks like Party's Getting Rouch, Beastie Revolution, or even Desperado? I'm wondering because I believe besides downloading, the only way to own tracks like Rock Hard and Party's Getting Rough is to buy the She's On It 7 inch and other rare vinyls. As far as Desperado goes, I believe the only way to have that is to buy Tougher than Leather and probably try to record what you can from it. How available are these tracks as far as non-vinyl goes? Thanks for the feedback, its good to be here.

Rubin and Mike D were chilling together in Rubin's studio, in the Jay-Z fil 'Fade to Black'. Mike was watching the recording of '99 Problems', so we know at least he's cool with Rick. Adrock did point to somebody when they did Brass Mokey at Madison Square Garden, perhaps 'Double R', who most definitely has footed the bill.

You can get Beastie Revolution on 'Some old Bullshit'. As far as the others, I read an article in the Australian Rolling Stone interviewing Rick, and he mentioned it would be nice to do a 20th anniversary 'fancy' version of Licensed to Ill, with tracks such as 'I'm Down' and such included. We'll see.

yeah, but when someone asks where he can find something and I know other sources I started not referring to hub because usually it's getting nowhere

true true

i JUST tonight actually successfully connected to the hub, and i'm still not getting things down the right way, skiming frantically through the hub thread

if i knew some good sites with beastie boys audio *specically rare tracks* i'd tell ya mrdoubler, but i'm currently running blank and dumbfounded

Who knows? There's every chance, given that Rubin has just finished working with Mikes dad, Neil Diamond. Or maybe they should give Rick a call when they're 60 and haven't had a hit for 20 years.

I for one would like to see them work together. 99 problems was good....
