so, ive decided to start attempting to fix myself up a bit. just a tiny bit to start off with. i currently wear no makeup and do nothing to my hair aside from wash it. im not kidding. i rarely even brush it. so yeah. im gonna pretty myself up.

so, first off, i really like eyeliner, but black is kinda much. any reccomendations for eyemakeup thats less HEY LOOK AT ME OVER HERE! i was thinkin about some mascara but i might go with an eyelash curler and clear mascara to hold it rather than clumping on lots of black.

also, someone told me that i have great skin and dont need foundation but i might want some tinted moisturizer. is this tinted moisturizer in the same area as the makeup? and does it actually do anything besides moisturize?

I assumed that is why she wanted to pretty herself up in the first place, to get a cock on her forehead.

Yeah I don't like wearing makeup either, but when I do I make sure it looks natural and it's not that much. But if your skin is already good then you don't need to pancake that batter shit on because that's just retarded. Ok I know that didn't help but I don't know anything about putting on makeup either, maybe I'll learn something. :p

Ah yep, a bit like me. Except my hair is quite dark. I use light shades of brown for eyeshadow, and a little black mascara - not a shitload, otherwise it pays too much attention to my eyes, especially when my skin is quite light. I'd go with some eyeliner if I was you, but only a little - don't go overboard, and if your skin is clear, I'd just use some moisturiser and if you have any blemish's at all, use concealer to cover them. If you're afraid of any 'out there' colours, use clear lip gloss, or a very light shade of pink lip liner to give your lips some notice.

ok, make sure you start using conditioner. and... brush it. maybe pin it once in a while. it doesnt take much to make your hair look fantastic.

liner: one that is similar to your lash color. dark brown is good. dont go heavy.smudge. have fun. and clear mascara with eyelash curler is awesome. also, try brown mascara.

get one like the one from neutrogena. those have spf's of at least 15. they're non comodogenic, so you wont break out at all. it's a great idea because you should be putting on sunscreen everyday anyway.

Shadow will probably look fine as long as it's not too heavy. Don't get liquid liner just yet. Wait until you're used to using a pencil before trying liquid.

Whatever you do, don't go to a department store and let them make you up and sell you things. If you're not comfortable with makeup, take baby steps because bad makeup looks much worse than no makeup. P.S. most guys don't like makeup but you can't convince girls of this.

Do you NEED moisturizer? I sure didn't at your age. I wouldn't do foundation or tinted anything. If it's done wrong, it makes looks horrid, makes your skin look greasy, and makes a mess on your clothes.

I have similar coloring to you and I agree with the women above --

(1) neutral eyeshadow (I'd get a matte finish and definitely no glitter or sparkle because it's more difficult to apply, but then I don't work in the fast food industry :) -- I like buff/very light brown and yellowish colors, and a tiny bit of olive green with brown hair). Your eyeshadow should never match your clothes and no one looks good in blue.
(2) brown pencil eyeliner (I like ones where you twist the head up rather than sharpen it)
(3) dark brown mascara (I get Max Factor something or other 2000 because a friend who works at an expensive cosmetics store told me it's better than the expensive stuff and it isn't chunky and washes off easily. I never get waterproof because waterproof makes my eyelashes fall out)
(4) OIL FREE eye make up remover pads from Almay (because if you don't get the mascara off, you look like a junkie the next morning).

I rarely wear blush and I never wear lipstick.

I often do just the mascara.

I've never had to tweeze my eyebrows, but most women seem to. If you need to do that, it's more important than the makeup.

i wear mascara and lipstick every day, and that's it. my mascara is black, and my lipstick is a brown shade by bedhead called cool. i have green eyes, so brown mascara is actually better for me, but i like black better to make my lashes stand out.

on my wedding day, i wore eyeliner (i only wear eyeliner on a special occasion). i like one by clinique that is a pencil liner on one end, and the other end has a powder with a sponge tip so that you can blend the eyeliner and soften it. it's brown.

Do you ever get it trimmed? Say an inch off every 6-8 weeks? Because split ends are minging but considering you don't do anything to your hair i.e. no heat-styling I reckon there's not much damage.

You've made a thread about eyeliner before, did you not try anything out?

Okay person I envy for nice skin, don't start slathering this rubbish onto your skin clogging up your pores. Judging by a photo you posted recently you do have nice skin and not too shiny. Leave it alone!

Everyone has made good points about eyes already, especially Medellia's liquid liner warning.

Dramatic eyes and lips rarely look good together, so focus on your best assets, say, your eyes and opt for a nude-coloured lips.

thanks to this thread, i know more than plus-minus-zero about make-up now (not that i'm gonna start using some).

voltane, i have tried eyeliner, but i had black. combined with the fact that i sucked at putting it on and i smudged it all over my face, black was a bit much. i guess i just need to practive my putting on technique, but brown sounds like it might be a better idea.

sometimes my face gets very dry in winter. it hasnt been as bad since ive been home but i think maybe once i get back to school and have to walk everywere in the freezing wind it might get worse again. it was really bad a few weeks ago, i got dry patches under my eyes. so if that happens i'll probably try some of the tinted moisturizer stuff.

and dont worry about the dramatic eyes and lips. i dont want dramatic anything. i probably wont really do anything to my lips (aside from my trusty chapstick). i dont really like the look of very glossy stuff, but a matte lipstick would be way too much for me unless i found the absolute perfect color. i dunno i might try something. i think mostly im gonna go for eyes though, just to feel a little more dressed up. i have very small eyes (someone recently IMed me after i posted my pic to ask me if i was half japanese, haha) so i think if i can figure out how to do it right i can "open them up" is how everyone puts it.

try liquid eyeliner on the top.
light light black eyeliner on the bottom, (not going the whole crease of the eye.. just half way) and apply it really gently.
put sparkles on the side of your eyes.
then put on mascara, and on the bottom eyelashes.
