so last night i started talking about how i need to learn to throw a good punch, so me and ben started foolin around with the boxing gloves. he mostly only blocked, hit me a few times, nothing hard. nothing even hard enough to get me off balance. then one time i go in to (try) to hit him, and he blocks, and in the process he elbows me in the wrist. not super hard, its not like my arm was against anything and he did it. it was more like his elbow grazed the inside of my wrist. i immediatly felt naseous. i sat down, and then felt like i wuss and stood back up. i tried to throw a few more punches but i was getting very lightheaded. i codulnt really get my muscles to flex and my speech was a little slurred. i sat back down and the next few minutes were a struggle just to stay conscious. he said after i sat back down, my face went completely white

after a few minutes i was totally fine. my wrist was a little sore, but WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT ALL ABOUT

pain did shoot up into my shoulder, but still, theres no reason for me almost passing out. ive experienced much worse pain without that happening

don't worry. you're probably just untrained. or maybe it was a message from above, saying "Don't fuck around with the gloves".

you went into shock...
pretty common when experiancing a new, particularly severe pain.

the only time i can remember feeling the same way is one time at work i cut myself, sliced my thumb open to the bone and bled everywhere. they didnt managed to get it to stop bleeding for like half and hour. on yeah, and i did a little one time when i got a pretty bad concussion, but it wasnt as bad. i fell backwards off a skateboard and landed on the back of my head, rolled over backwards and sprained my neck. and like i said, the weird naseous lightheaded feeling wasnt as bad doing that as what happened last night.

most likely a nerve

I didn't even come close to shock when i broke my wrist....boarded down the rest of the hill too

but it hurt like a muthafucka!

1 piece of advise....don't break anything

i've gotten into some pretty crazy wrecks on my bike. this one time i went flying over my handle bars becuase i was going way to fast down this very step curve and went over the burm and my front wheel got caught on something. that sudden stop rocketed me over my handle bars and sending my ass over my head. i proceded to fly trough the air upsided down till i was stopped by a tree. my back cracked into the tree and then i slid about 6 feet down it, tearing the shit out of my back on the bark. then i cracked my head on the ground. my adreneline was pumping so i just shot up and ran back to my bike which was about 10 or 15 feet away and just continued on with my ride for about 30 minutes. then all of a sudden i noticed that i was sopping wet. i haddent fallen into any water. it was blood. i was drenched in my own blood. and i do mean fuckn' drenched. about this time it finally dawned on me what actually happened. i guess my adreneline ran out. and i was pretty fuckn woozy. i had a real hard time makeing it back home and i couldn't stop laughing for some reason. i felt pretty much drunk and lightheaded the rest of the day. it was fuckn' awesome.

I loved reading that (y) - mostly because you just shrugged it off instead of over reacting like most other people who just fucking freak out at the sight of blood.

but the weird thing is if i a stub my toe or pinch my skin somehow im hopping around like a little pussy. big pains don't bother me nearly as much as those little annoying pains.
