... have dreams where you're in a place you've imagined that doesn't actually exist in real life, only when you dream about being there again, this little made-up location is exactly the same, even if the dreams where it occurs are years apart?

Fucking freaks me out, it does.

Narnia doesn't exist man. I've told you that a dozen times.

It's not real.

Anyways, I have the same kinda fucked up dreams once in a while. Except the place seems to be heavily influenced by Jurassic Park and Super Mario Brothers. So dinosaurs and forty year old plumbers chasing me.

Yeah, I moved about 13 times and I keep having this dream that I moved back into this real ghetto place I lived in when I was 3. It's a nightmare because so many bad things happened when I lived there like my dad was an alcoholic and I remember him coming home all beat up. I was almost molested by one of my brothers friends who was 13 (yea I know sick), we were robbed, a whole bunch of scary shit that I wish I didn't remember. It really freaks me out, and I had the same dream about 5 times sense I was 5. :(

Once I had a dream that I was in a hotel that didn't exist. It was in an area of town that was just an empty field. A year or two later they started construction in that same spot. Three years after that dream I saw a commercial for the hotel built in that field and it looked exactly the same. It was creeeepy.

yep. i've had this happen a couple of times. one time, one of the places became real when i drove through the town and recognized it. that was pretty freaky.

That happens a lot to me, "Ah! I've been here before...in my head!"

I hate it when you're thinking consciously whilst you are still dreaming. One minute in my dream I'm panicking because the tripods from War Of The Worlds (no listening to soundtrack before bedtime, methinks) are outside my bedroom then I'm wondering if my clothes have finished cycling in the washing machine because I really fancy wearing that jumper today.

all my dreams that i remember feel real. they involve people that i know, and many a times i feel like what happened in my dream was real and will start talking to whomever was in the dream like we had that conversation or what not

My sister told me sometimes she is asleep but her eyes are open and she can see the room and shit but can't move. And then she sees shadows and hears sounds and shit and thinks there's some murderer coming up the stairs or something and she can't move or scream and has to just wait until she wakes up. But my sister takes a lot of Valium, so it's hardly surprising really.

sometimes i'm asleep and dreaming but awake and alert at the same time.

the last time this happened, i was so damn tired! and in my dream, i was supposed to say a word, but that would have for some reason required me to physically say it, and i didn't have the strength, so everyone in my dream got mad at me for not saying anything. and then i later in the dream, i dreamt that my teeth were REALLY bad, so I got up and wrote *go to dentist* while still dreaming and got back into bed, still continuing my dream. i still have that paper on my desk.

One time my dad's fave hat was lost and no none had any idea where to find it. He offered up a $100 reward.

So that night i had a dream that the hat was flying around the house and then it ducked into this cabinet. I woke up and went about my day and then suddenly i remembered the dream and went to look in that cabinet and it was in there.

It was really cool and i got $100.

when I was a kid I had a few dreams about a secret porthole in my friend's house at the bottom of the stairs that led to a toy store/candyland/amusement park type place. I guess my subconscious just really really wanted it to exist.

Yes. But it isn't usually a recurring place per type.

Seriously weak, man. If you must insist on trying to look witty, please try harder with your humour.

I wasn't trying to be witty - I was being serious, and was having difficulty putting what I meant into words.
