I just tried it and it started off well with the dancers, the rainbowy thing and Dirty Dancing but then it went downhill..

It's fun to watch the pictures come up and see the collage come together. I sat and did this for a good hour the day I found the site. And I posted less than half of the ones I saved..

I think 20 is the right number. The images are repeated enough to make a nicely balanced collage. They remind me of quilts.

i use print screen, then paste it into mspaint and save as a jpeg, then i crop out the shit from using print screen.

i'm sure there's a quicker method, but i can't be bothered to find it.

I don't enjoy seeing women presented as sex objects. I get irritated seeing it anywhere, but having it in my thread (which I put some thought and effort into for the fun & edification of myself and others - and like I said I make very few threads) I had to say something. I'm particularly bothered that something I created became a home for degrading images of women. I contacted Knuckles privately and asked him to edit it but after a couple hours felt I had to say something. To be fair I don't know if he's even seen the message I sent him but now the deadline for editing the post has expired.

I hate to be in the position of wanting to censor, I guess I just wanted a quality thread without a cancer on it. But instead we'll all get to see how much respect for women is still lacking in this world. I guess it really is a man's world after all (not that this is news).

It would be silly for you to quit the board over this. Why not just take the opportunity to learn a lesson?

I did some soul searching over the whole wanting-to-censor thing, especially in an art project type thread... first of all the collage wasn't in keeping with the spirit with this little project (which is probably dead now anyway but I hope not) because it was clearly a joke thrown in (which is fine, if it was some other type of collage I may have rolled my eyes and not been thrilled it wasn't a google montage but would have let it go. Or I might even have welcomed it, I've enjoyed Knuckles' stuff in the past) so it doesn't deserve the level of consideration the other montages do.

Second, and more importantly, if you hung that in your cubicle at work you would be considered to be creating a hostile work environment for the women in the office. The same idea applies here. As the creator of this thread I would be (and was, yesterday) forced to look at the image every time I loaded the page. I could abandon the thread, but is that fair? I could put Knuckles on ignore but I don't think other women should have to look at it either.

And the "can't take a joke" thing.. that's weak. Just because your intent is to be funny doesn't give you free rein to degrade people. You can be funny and still show proper respect.. I mean, look at the Beastie Boys, they're masters at that.

As a side note, I was curious about the Asian fetish thing (because it was the subject of the collage) and did a little reading last night... turns out it's not as harmless as you might think (http://www.yaledailynews.com/article.asp?AID=29233).

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but as I said I did some soul searching and wanted to share my thoughts. Thanks for your consideration.

I hope we can proceed with the google montages.. if not, it was great while it lasted (y)
