I worked at Chuck E Cheese when I was in high school. I always thought it was dumb when adults came there on dates or otherwise without children.

But I guess it can be fun. Aren't there cooler game/fun places in NYC?

yes there are plenty. but half the fun is the cheesyness of it. it peobably works even better cause im guessing he and his friends will be ridiculously stoned by the time we get to chucky cheese's. they will enjoy the pizza in a way the mouse never thought possible.

I'm not sure if I was a parent I'd appreciate a bunch of stoned 20-somethings fraternizing with my children while they innocently eat their pizza and try to win enough tickets for a stuffed animal.

You should have it at the Olive Garden.

we'll try not to bug the kids :o

the latest you can have a party there is 8:30pm. there shouldnt be any impressionable children at that time, should there?

does chuckie cheese's sell beer?

does chuckie cheese's sell beer? You've answered your own question, here.

I seem to remember the pizza tasting like crap. Sounds like a good time.

Go to a Lazar tag place -- older kids you can knock down.

Olive Garden is pure class.

And forget laser tag. Why not just paintball? Those "lasers" don't leave welts and bruises.

Chucky Cheese = Skee-Ball! (y)

I think it sounds excellent.

(p.s. it would be more excellent if you hired strippers, but perhaps the Chucky Cheese management would frown on that. :( )

I'm sure it'll be fun. I was probably just jaded from working there and I was a somewhat surly, sarcastic, uptight teenager anyway (it was the early 90's and Nirvana was king, we were too cool for everything).

Are you going to have it in the birthday room with a host/hostess? That was my job, birthday hostess.

Skee ball does pretty much rule, though. Even in my most jaded moments at CEC I still loved skee ball.

Most of them have birthday rooms. You pay a certain $ amount per person and get cake, pizza, tokens, and soda. And there's a big birthday show where chuck E and his friends come out and dance. They also come out for the birthday song.

Its fun.

Or you can just sit somewhere in the restaurant and order everything on your own. I don't know that you can order cake.

I would pick a tittie bar, but that's just me.

Lucky Bastard. You sure there aren't some other more "teen" places to go to. Like those huge arcade places with booze and pizza.... do those even exist? Or am I dreaming?

At the one I worked at it was one huge room and each of the parties got a super long table.

there're so many more corny places than chucky cheese. isnt the chucky cheese / mcdonalds kids room kind of overdone? there're a bunch of really corny places in little italy and chinatown... an awesome corny old school arcade in china town

monkey

oh i love that place.. the arcade. the problem is that the arcade is filled ridiculously on a friday night. not so good.

i didnt know chucky cheese was too overdone. ive never been to a chucky party.
