Visited last April.

Check out the small-central-park like island located in the middle of the donau river in central Budapest. It was beautiful during Spring. Also visit the St Stephen cathedral, mostly for the outstanding view of the city from up there. Try to find some real hungarian restaurant for dinner. It's cheap and good. Beer's also cheap so down a few i suggest.

I really liked that city. Enjoy!

Tompz,
I gotta hand it to you. You're a globe trotter to the ump degree. I remember when I was having to go to Malaysia right when the head sawing rituals began between the Thai and Malays and was a bit apprehensive about it; if I'm not mistaken when I asked if anyone had been there you spoke up and said that it was a tourist friendly vacation meca. Though I didn't find it as enjoyable as you...You were spot on about it being mostly tourists.

Disregard if that wasn't you that advised me on that. At any rate, I'll agree with you about their food being well above board. There used to be a Hungarian restaraunt here that had a venison dish....Good Eats

Hah! I thought you were referring to New England.

"New England is six states? Is that right? Is Connecticut's flag so bad?" :D

I'll ask my sister, she just got back from touring that part of Europe. She went to Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Berlin, and Krakow. I think Berlin was far and away her favorite but she enjoyed Budapest too.

A-Z,
You have the memory like an elephant. Kudo's bc that was over a year ago and wasn't an exactly 4 page must see thread.....You don't by any chance remember where I left my sunglasses at do you? I tried to be clever and buy another pair telling the Mrs. that I "found" them~ since I was assured of a 10 days $ back policy if that proves to be the case. She found me out before I've even had a chance to wear them. If she could only do that with lotto numbers

On a side note: If you happen to see Ronald McDonald wearing some Oakley polarized lens shades, then he's a bigger threat than the Hamburglar

I don't think i said anything about that. I never went to malaysia, but with the head-sawing business and all i should visit.
