Fast Times At Ridgemont High
It was my 12th birthday (Nov.2,1982) and a double date with my older brother and his girlfriend with her younger sister LeAnn - who was nearly 15. Even though I was so much younger than her, she still liked me. We all lived nearby on the same street and did things together like ride our bikes after school and on the weekends. She taught me how to rollerskate and even how to french kiss later on. We listened to records together ( Journey, Styx, KISS, Van Halen, etc. ) inside the camper in her grandmother's backyard. So she was kinda like having an older sister and a girlfriend combined, until a few years later. Unfortunately she moved far away back to Kentucky. But I'll never forget her and how cool she made a shy 12 yr old boy feel so good ! And it all started on that movie date night way back in '82 - while watching Fast Times At Ridgemont High on the big screen for the first time. (y)

Probably the blair witch project, that had an R rating for like a week, but we got in when we were like 13, because they knew nobody who was old enough to see that movie would be stupid enough to actually want to see it.

I was 10. My cousins were older teenagers and they had friends who worked at the theater and snuck me in. Fuck, that movie scared the crap out of me.

In a theater you say. Well that would be Blame it on Rio...I was way underage at the time and snuck in to see it feeling guilty as sin the whole time. As far as the plot went I can't tell you a thing~completely over my head. But I do remember Demi Moores young nubile breasts. And that, to me, was the center piece to the whole shebang.

I've seen a lot of R movies... the most memorable would be when I saw Howard Stern's "Private Parts" when I was 13... it was like watching a porno...
no big deal cuz my parents have let me see that kind of stuff since I was 6... not very responsible... I'm still alittle traumatized :(

I saw 10 when I was... what --? 12 years old? Something like that.
I was a big breast man.
The next R-rated one I saw was right afterward, I think -- When a Stranger Calls.
Then The Amityville Horror? Something like that.

My stupid ass parents took me to a Drive-In when I was 7 and saw a double feature of Jaws and Burnt Offerings.
Still traumatized to this day over that.
My Mom (she might be a whackjob) also took me to see The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Dolly Parton's breasts still haunt my dreams.

...did they think you'd just fall asleep? ...they didn't want to hire a sitter?
I guess an alternate is to just leave you at home alone... like this couple out our way just did. 10 year old boy left alone with his 5 year old autistic brother while the parents went to Vegas for the weekend.

Dumbasses.....kids never fall asleep at drive-ins when you want them to.

...they should've taken you to see that musical version of 1776. that was the first/last movie I saw with my folks outside of the house. Dunno how old I was, but small enough to fall asleep in the back window of the car.
Well, not in the back window, but you know the spot I'm talking about.

The Sting was my first PG movie in a theater. My mom had already seen it and decided to take me. I'll bet it's the only movie my mom ever paid to see twice. She warned me that Robert Redford was going to spend the night with a woman he wasn't married to. Mom didn't really watch TV. If she had, she would have known that I had seen wilder shit on One Day at a Time, Soap, Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, and the original Saturday Night Live.
