If this isn't a blatant, watered down ripoff of Da Ali G show, I don't know what is. What makes it worse than the average Americanized regurgitation of an existing tv comedy is that it was created by Courtney Cox and David Arquette and that it's targeted mainly to people with coochies. (n)

i was wondering when the thread with daisy does america on it would appear... ok...
so i've seena little bit of it and.. i hated it.. it's stupid, lame, and annoying, shame on tbs (which is such a great station, seriously) and put this junk on... i'll stick to seinfeld thankyouverymuch.

i think she's pretty funny.

I saw one commercial where she did an eye thing, and it was kinda funny. I realized that that moment was probably the most enjoyment I'd ever get out of that show, so I've avoided it since.

Yeah, I was wondering if they were referring to the same show.

Personally, I didn't find it that funny. I thought it was mainly just cheap shots at easy targets, and not particularly clever or insightful. Compared to Da Ali G show especially, because I think Sacha Baron Cohen is really quite ingenious at getting people to expose their own hypocrisy and underlying prejudices and such in quite original ways, whereas as I said with Daisy, she just seems rather mean and petty, like she wants everyone to think that she is so much smarter than 'those poor dupes' she collars, and really she's not, she's just the one with the camera crew is all.

One thing i hated (it's just a little thing that got under my skin) was how, before they even start airing the show, they were calling her "america's new funny girl" :mad: (n) ... and i don't know why it pisses me off.
