So everyone is mostly familiar with ICP, right? And their juggalo/nazi morons.

Well, why not form something for the Beastie Boys? I'm officially starting the new gathering for an elite Beastie Boys group simply for the biggest fans. I still need a name, etc., but I got the jist of it. Own all their CD's, know the basics about 'em, get into the style, etc.

Well, we'll maintain open to pretty much anybody. Perhaps a ranking system like with three different levels. The first just for those who like the music and that's about it, the second for those who have all the albums and the basics on the group, and the third for those who own all albums, can pretty much tell you anything about them, own tons of merchandise (as far as the established style goes), etc.

As far as the style, just follow the Beastie Boys style, and maybe we can get some custom jackets or whatever, but that's far ahead (as in, once I get money).

I'm thinking something oldschool as far as names. I 'm not sure, though. Little Beasts? The Beastie Posse? I don't like the word "posse" much. Beastie Gang? Somethin', throw ideas out.

The Beasties in Effect is nice, and the Beastie Society (BS) is catchy. And no, this'll be more than a message board. Something that hopefully we'll be worthy enough to receive recognition from the Beastie Boys themselves, but not for some time. This is a group of people following them to the core, style, music, everything.

Custom clothes and accessories and everything, too, so I'll be working on.

I've got it established then. I'll come up with a nifty code to figure out some guidelines. I've got some people working on custom logos for us, and I'll order myself a jacket and some other clothes/accessories and have the logos planted on them to see what I like and then I'll put up some pictures, and hopefully members will be able to order them from me.

We don't need a fan club, we know who we are already.

I don't appreciate that. I've always been into Beastie Boys, but never thought more of it. I notice these ICP clown bastards running around and think "why not have zeal for people who actually have TALENT?" so I come here and start something up. And I didn't group the Beastie's with "Internet Service Provider" anywhere in my posts.

Take what you got. I set aside $400 for this project over the past three months just to start this off. Don't like it, then don't join it.

I'm still looking at jacket designs and whatnot, and I just got off the phone with a friend who will be doing several logo idea designs. I'm thinking the front over the breast will have our logo of "Beastie Boys Society", and on the back in large it'll say "Beastie Boys in Effect".

If you have links or pictures of jackets you think we could use (ones I can purchase for a decent price), post it!!

im hoping they'll cost no more than 40-50 to have done.. if so, ill discount them to everyone for hopefully around 30 (if they even get that expensive).

you will have the BBS logo on the front over the breast, and the motto on the back, with SMALL CUSTOMIZATIONS only! a relatively small rose, a name somewhere, fine, but not these big pictures...

No offense to anyone...I love the Bboys and their fans, but the concept of this is kinda lost on me...is the point of the group just to wear jackets and say we are big Bboys fans?? Cause that seems pretty much like what this place is. If the idea is to try and get the Bboys attention eventually I guess I can understand the desire to do that, who doesn't want recognition from their favorite band, but this feels a little on like high school for some reason, like "drama club!" shirts or something. Eternal, I promise I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just curious as to what the final point is...as someone who's posted here for a long time, I see it being a very hard task to create something that will stand out more than being a vital part of the mb community....god I can't even believe I just said that, I'm a damn nerd.

But anyway, best of luck with everything I guess...I might want to join, but I'd like to see what the design is and the name and everything first.

I remember back in the day when i showed people i was a beastie fan by wearing a shirt and listening to their music. Jackets...Jackets...we don't need no sticken' jackets. And a point system?!? This is the wackest thing ever. No offense but you don't need to show your support of the beasties by ranking people against other fans. I mean if you like the beasties and can feel what their feeling then you are a 6.7 on my scale.

Maybe i'm just too old of a fan and don't see the need for jackets. But different strokes for different folks, i guess.
