Check it out here (http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/).

Lots of old-skool styling cues but still very modern. Cool interior but the console-mounted gauges don't work for me.

What you think?

It would be nice to see a *good* Camaro back out on the street, to keep those Mustang owners from getting too cocky :D (and to help ailing General Motors-something which is mostly THEIR fault-from declaring bankruptsy & putting thousands of people out of work :( ).

Pff, crap ass supercharged ecotech cobalt pieces of crap. Sorry had to let that out..

Too concepty, looking, is this production model? Not feeling the lines kinda Dodge Charger looking. Hah just read the giant Concept title on the bottom hadn't finished loading. Do like the overall shape of the car though, the profile I enjoy. Looking at it from above, do like it more, dunno maybe a longer hood would do it for me.. Im sure the production model will be a lot more pleasing, since I am comparing it to the classic lines and look.

eh, the new Challenger concept fits the same mold

remember...the Monte Carlo and Impala used to be fairly distinctive and look at them now

I think its just a concept so far-it's a little too low to the ground and "squashed". But yea, I like it too. Retro stuff like this is cool as long as it isn't overdone.

I'm sure the base engine will be a V-6, since fuel economy is getting more important now.

FYI: back in the early 90s, Chevy had almost completed the design for a front wheel drive Camaro. It wasn't just a concept, it was a 90% finished *real* car, and was going to use a completely new large-displacment aluminum V-6 (I think 4.0 liters). The styling was really cool: bubble-ish looking & shorter than the old one but much wider so it had a massive, road-hugging look. But development costs were nearing one billion dollars & GM's management finally put their foot down & the whole project was shelved. And, many Chevy fans were highly upset at the thought of a FWD Camaro (this is the exact reason Ford kept the Mustang, because initially the Probe was supposed to be its replacement  ). So what we ended up getting was a totally restyled Camaro but with the same dated engines and solid rear axle chassis.

Looks like a typical sad attempt by an American car company.
