My online gaming buddies are growing scarce (as often happens when you spend a long time as part of a gaming community, and the games become obsolete). I was wondering what games everyone plays online?

At the moment, I only really play online poker at partypoker.com and City of Heroes on the UK Union server.

Used to play a fair bit of Battlefield 1942 and BFV.

So, again, what you got, and anyone up for a game of something?

i play medal of honor sometimes, and i just got age of empires 3

and if i get real bored, i'll play on pokerstars, and i used to play unreal tournament online, but not anymore

UT2k5 was quite disappointing, I grew out of "twitch" shooters when I was like 16 or so. They are alright for some quick thrills, but they quickly degenerate into repetition and weapons camping, etc.

I was majorly into Age of Empires 2 - but its got to the point where the only people still playing it online are out of my league - my pc doesnt run aoe3 well enough to take it online yet so Im upgrading - I love age of empires!

Hideo Kojima in the man!!!! All his games are fucking great. The storyline of his games are simply the most complex and extraordinaire ones.

i have to agree with you there, MGS3 is really pretty close to perfect. my one gripe with it is the camera angle, it's outdated. it's hard to sneak around when you can only see like 10 feet in front of you at a time, switching to first person view is too inconvenient.

as for multiplayer games, if you're into RTS games, warcraft 3 and dawn of war are probably my favorites as far as that goes.

it is inconvenient at times, yes, but... if anything else... you'd loose the absolute soul of the MGS games.

it's like replacing the alarm sound when you get spotted; just ain't cricket.

starcraft is still the greatest game ever created

Counter Strike, not Source, the last one before it (1.6). About 2 years ago I used to play that shit every day, I was l33t. Haven't played any online games for about a year now except for the occasional Day of Defeat. That is a wicked game. (y)

now i play pro evo 5 on ps2 and call of duty 2 pc. used to play counter strike.
