This comes out on DVD today; I'm not sure what this "2005 special edition" version is.

I've seen the original theatrical version and then the "director's cut" that came out on laserdisc. Let me tell you, this is one great movie.


Sam Peckinpah directed James Coburn, Kris Kristoferson, Slim Pickens, Katy Jurado, and an inscrutable Bob Dylan in this baby.

This goes on your must-see list, all right? Trust me.

Closest thing we've had to that was probably the fish being slaughtered in The Perfect Storm. Too bad it was in the service of a truly shitty movie.
