i just heard a few tracks by him, and i reallylike them all


i looked up some stuff on him, and the critics pick "michigan" and his best album, but his newest one "illinoise" sounds pretty good too.


anyone listen to him? can you suggest which i should get?

Sufjan Stevens is awesome.

What's he's doing right now is the "50 States Project." Apparently, Sufjan is planning to make an album dedicated to each of the 50 states. So far he's got "Michigan" and "Illinois." 48 more to go. I wonder if he'll complete it...

I say start off with "Illinois" ("Michigan" is great too). He's got a few albums as well that are not related to any states, but I haven't listened to 'em yet (but are probably good).

i read about the states thing, thats what got me interested. i liked "chicago" a lot, has some excellent lyrics

i've been witholding on getting any of his stuff. never thought he was bad, or anything, just, you know...i think i'll check him out tomorrow.

i'm going to the record mart tomorrow, so i think if i see anything by him for $10 or less, i will definetly get it.

the only downside to the place i go is it's real hit of miss with whats in stock
