I was getting out of the shower and the thought occured to me: "You know what I could use? A summer day. That would be really nice."

-- and then I flashed on the Shakespeare line about "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" and I thought, wow! -- that's really sweet. -- to imply that someone's bright and airy and refreshing and green grass and nice breezes, etc. etc. (He might've meant really humid and scorching, but I'll think of a "summer day" kindly.)

So that was kind of cool, because I'd never really given that line any thought.

The other thing was reading about a proposed light rail system in New Orleans. I'd never heard the term "light rail" until I moved to Sacramento, and just assumed it was supposed to be like "lightning rail" or "bullet train" sort of thing: speedy, or whatever.

The article talked about "light rail" systems versus "heavy rail" systems and I suddenly smacked my forehead metaphorically speaking.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhlight rail!

yeah, that poem gits all the women

have you seen this one by Howard Moss?

Howard Moss's "Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Day"

Who says you're like one of the dog days?
You're nicer. And better.
Even in May, the weather can be gray,
And a summer sub-let doesn't last forever.
Sometimes the sun's too hot;
Sometimes it is not.
Who can stay young forever?
People break their necks or just drop dead!
But you? Never!
If there's just one condensed reader left
Who can figure out the abridged alphabet,
After you're dead and gone,
In this poem you'll live on!

I don't want there to be a breeze when I get out of the shower.
