....so I snagged this from the library last night because I'd forgotten John Spencer played the soldier at the beginning of the movie who refuses to launch the missles from the silos. (Michael Madsen played the officer under him who pulls the gun on him and says "Turn the launch key, sir!" or whatever.
John Spencer. I'll miss seeing him work.
Anyway. WarGames still holds up. Snappy little movie. Pretty crappy soundtrack, but not as bad as, say, LadyHawke.
There are some really, really nice, genuine touches here and there. Some are kind of silly and forced (why is the military casual banner all pot-realted or involve sexually harassing a nurse?), but mostly, it's really well done and just zips along nicely.
