I'm sure you don't remember this but I had a kvetch session with your site moderator and one of you beasties about Jewishness, religion, etc about five years ago.
I was upset being an Ohio Jewboy surrounded by racist rednecks that the whole of you being at least ethnically Jewish never surfaced as definable-- SHALOM!!- Jews. Ahh I won't go into it. We basically ended up talking about Buddhism.
But.... I am way into middle eastern music now and I think you all should hook up with Miri Ben-Ari, an Israeli violinist who incorporates middle-eastern, hip-hop, and even klezmer-style violin into hip-hip (ok rap) music.
I think she was all over whatzhisname Kanye West and Jay Z's albums.
Then I think about how how you all used to experiment with different instruments, even monks farting into tubes, and it seems a PERFECT match.
I cannot imagine what you all could do with a classically trained jazz/ hip-hop violinist introduced to the US by Issac Stern no less. I still want my tribe to gimme one good kickbutt song before I die (not planning on it) even if high school is far behind me. Not far enough.
I'd introduce you to her but I don't know either of you. In fact, I'm writing to a random message board. At least last time me and youze had a good discussion- the Jew and the Lotus... your webmaster was a good guy.
Peece guys... keep it in mind b/c I promised her
