I've always longed to see what Los Angeles was like in, say, 195-something or another. All the new development, yet all the space and no overcrowding. The 'feel good' vibe of post war optimism... or so I think in my jaded little mind. The beautiful weather and coast sans pollution. I don't know why, but I just have such a fond idea of what it was like.

I've toured many homes in the area from that era. Have studied and seen tons of photos and what not. Some of my favorite architecture was born in this day and age. It sure seems like my cup 'o' tea.

If I could do it with the knowledge that I've accumulated so far in my life, I would spend time with my ma before she got sick. Just us, talking about stuff that she didn't live long enough to see and do with me. I'd want her to meet my kid, so if this is a two-fer, I'd bring him along too. The three of us would maybe pow-wow. That would be cool.

Other than that, I'd do the obvious stuff--want to meet or at least watch Christ, Gandhi. Be a fly on the wall during the evolution of some important inventions. Watch Einstein work. Maybe have a look at Fermat's notebooks, talk to him a bit. :D Stuff like that.
