There's no 2nd Dynasty album in the works; Rakim might not drop in '06, and I'm pretty sure they changed the album name, anyway; Ghost & Doom aren't calling their collaboration "The Pretty Toney Album, I'm sure; There's no date set for the Preemo & Nas collab; Dre? C'mon. 2009 maybe. Out of these, I'm looking forward to some new J-Zone, The Game, Stat Quo, maybe the Nas album and probably any Ghostface. The rest is whatever.

that list is based on hiphopsite.com's round up special. they only included "the dynasty 2" cuz one of the writers once in an editorial speculated that's what jay-z should do/would do, given his position in def jam, why they included it here when there's been absolutley no evidence of it is beyond me!

why the hell would ghost name another record "the pretty toney album"

And I only check out SOHH daily, then various random sites for release dates and news when I'm in the mood.

Mobb Deep hasn't been good since their debut if you ask me.
I'm pretty sure you're talking about The Infamous because their actual debut was definitely not their best work. But I disagree, anyway. How could you buy Will Smith albums but sleep on the M.O.B.B.?
So how come you never became a music journo, Mike?

I'd rather do something with my time that would encourage someone write about me.

1. The Infamous
2. Hell On Earth
3. Murda Muzik
4. Amerikaz Nightmare
5. Infamy
6. Juvenile Hell
That's the order you should cop their albums in. Infamy's actually not that bad, but there's so much filler. Burn was like their best song since The Infamous days, though. And Hell On Earth shouldn't be living in the shadow of The Infamous like it is; It more than lived up to expectations considering what they were trying to follow/top.

no raekwon only built for cuban linx 2? and u know that shit is dropping this year "state of grace"?
and no saigon 'greatest story never told'? personally i think saigon will be the biggest new rapper to come out in 06, much like game kanye and 50 were in the years that have past. Just Blaze personnally scouted this dude and is the executive producer of the album. if you like public enemy, nas or old ice cube you'll like saigon's stuff "color puple", "letter p", "stocking cap", "come again"
no mop?
mickill
01-16-2006, 11:34 PM
While I don't really see the connection between PE and Saigon, I'm definitely looking forward to Greatest Story Never Told. I don't think he'll be doing 50 numbers, though. I don't think he'll even be doing Yayo numbers, to tell you the truth.

im looking forward to
Cannibal Ox
Soulposition
Dilated
El-P

Ghostface/Doom
Nas/Primo (not holding my breath tho)
The Roots

i will pray daily to Yahweh, Jesus, Allah and all the Hindu gods for Nas/Primo, but i just cant see it happening THIS year. Primo's too busy producing for Christina, and Nas is too busy passing on good beats.

well he is taken his sweet time with it (it was supposed to drop last year if I remember right) and alot of his rhymes arent the typical "blow you up hata" type of deal so we will see, he got a brain on him that he uses pretty well and Just Blaze lacing him with tracks, that should at least equate to something better then the average, same goes with the Primo/Nas colab

Yeah, that's what I meant. Anyway, Will Smith albums are albums like Mase's 'Welcome Back' (which I remember you kinda liked). Pretty bad albums that have their moments.
I'm not saying M.O.B.B. don't have their moments, I just feel that what they've done after the Infamous has been pretty weak. That's all.
