Hatton targets four!
IBF/WBA light welterweight Ricky Hatton has announced his shortlist of potential foes. The Hitman named Arturo Gatti, Acelino Freitas, Diego Corrales or Jose Luis Castillo as his next opponent and confirmed that the fight will likely take place in Las Vegas or New York City in May. "I don't know who it will be yet, it is genuinely still being negotiated but I expect to know by the weekend," Hatton told BBC Radio Five Live. He also stated that a fight with WBC 140lb titlist Floyd Mayweather is in the works for later in the year. "For those that believe Mayweather is not going to happen, I just look forward to proving them wrong as I did my doubters in 2005," he said.

I never in a million years thought he would come over here to fight. But of those 4 that he named, his only sure bet is Gatti, who should never really be mentioned as a top fighter. He'll lose to castillo or freitas. Corrales has that weak chin so I give Hatton a chance. He should just go for it all and fight mayweather cuz unless he fights gatti I dont see him winning. I hope he fights at the garden so I can go. I think england might be enamored with the garden cuz after his last fight, the interviewer was all like "wouldnt it be wonderful for his next fight to be at the great, marvellous madison square garden"(or something along those lines) and during the fight also they were talking up madison square garden
