I got the book, it's pretty interesting. I'm on "Back from the Dead" right now. It's just a massive bunch of quotes from people, written chronologically. There some stuff in here that even you hard core fans might not know/have heard about.

i need something to read during class when we're just sitting around doing nothing....that'd be excellent! i don't have any new books to read...i could always just reread another harry potter but beasties sound much better! :D since we can't listen to music...it's a crime not being allowed to listen to the beastie boys in public schools! a travesty! geez! :rolleyes:

This book is fluff. Weak! There hasn't been a real book written about the Beastie Boys yet. I don't understand that. You get better insight on who the guys are, and some background history from books about LL Cool J, Run-DMC, and Def Jam. This book is basically them same as the Spin article from '98 or '99, with a few more entries. I didn't and wouldn't buy it, but I did scan through it in a Borders. The comments by Nadia Dajani are the only ones I enjoyed. They were mostly about a young Horovitz and his mother. That was good info. It might be a good read for those who just got down, but if you've a fan since "Hello Nasty", I'm sure you've heard most of these stories.

I just got my book from Amazon today. I haven't started reading it yet...but I did notice most of the book looks like a whole lotta quotes.

I did notice that Beastiemania gets a nice shoutout! Great job guys.

This book is aight. I would also recommend "Def Jam, Inc." -- it has a lot of cool pics of the Beasties and some dope stories.

Saw it at Barnes & Knoble last night. $14. I started to read a little of it. THen I read more. and more. and eventually read the whole thing.

Ended up buying a couple books on Elvis. hahaha!1
