In the citay, Kent.
There was this bin, nobody was paying it any attention. And then I was there slatherig and slobbering all over the shit, and people got interested.
It said: From $8.99.
I'm gonna go and get Money Mark and JVC Force out of it hopefully.

Yeah it's great. I was a bit suspicious because it leans heavily on that old-school sound ( which usually belongs in the old-school), but I'm loving it.
edit:Hey Nygel, nice work on that Flowin Prose rmx. (y)

Every time Tzar started one of these threads, I'd hoped it would become like the "what song are you listening to?" one, and everybody would just post their latest purchases.
So I went back to the bin and scooped:
Scars and Memories- MF Grimm
Demo? or Demolition?-Money Mark
Felt 2-A tribute to Lisa Bonet
The Best of Organized Konfusion( (y) (y) (y) )

Yeah, I've done my fair share of "latest purchases" in the past, as well. Not sure why an all-purpose "last records you bought" thread hasn't been made...

Yeah you have. I wasn't tryin to omit you. But you see what I mean; for no good reason, there's never a staple 'Purchases' thread in this forum.
Could it be the effects of piracy? I think not.
Perhaps it's just the glory of having one's own thread on the front page.
DS, your 'latests' are always interesting. There's a number of you whose purchases I would be very keen to hear about regularly.

Thanks a lot! I try my best to seek out good music. :)
For the time being, why not let this thread be the all-purpose "latests" thread?
And I agree, there's various others I'd be interested in having them share their purchases. FunkyHiFi and yeahwho for sure!

Well there was some kinda "latest cd bought" on the Sure Shots, but guess all the people who check Music don't check Sure Shots, so it has dissappeared several pages behind (I think, haven't checked).
As I haven't had any income to speak of for several months so the last I bought was SGH w DVD. Luckily things are changing in a weeks time so maybe there might turn up a musical piece or two where I can spend my hard earned money on (not that I need more.... )

I went in the store with the intention of just getting some Link Wray ("Rumble! The Best of Link Wray") and ended up finding...
Beck - "Stereopathic Soul Manure" (it's about frickin' time I got this one!)
Primal Scream - "Screamadelica"
Prince - "Dirty Mind"
Siouxsie & The Banshees - "The Scream"
Social Distortion - "Live at the Roxy"
Yello - "The Essential Yello"
on top of Link Wray. Oh brother.
Plus, what was most miraculous was a look at the clearance section. For some reason, there were a bunch of box sets (some of which going for as high as $100) being sold for a fraction of the price. I found the Siouxsie & The Banshees rarities box set for $9.99 (reg. price $69.99). HOLY CRAP! I'm still pinching myself thinking it was a dream. That is just too incredible...
